What is a Placement File?

A Placement File consists of your professional pages and letters of recommendation. This file is created to help educators gain employment. Once you find a school or schools you wish to apply at, email Career Services the address of the school. We will also send you a confirmation email that your file has been sent 1-2 days after it has been requested.

Reference Requests and Recommendation Form

When asking for a recommendation letter, you want someone who is going to help you gain employment. Your supervising teacher during student teaching or the principal would be greatpersonel to ask for a recommendation. Other people you could ask are: professors, current employers or a mentor. People you want to avoid asking are your friends or family. Keep it professional. You fill out the Reference Request form and we send them our Recommendation Form very prompt after the request is made.
